Juatuba-MG, Brazil. From the 18 – 22nd of February, the formators and formandi from the Claretian Province of Brazil celebrated their XV Assembly.
Participating were the aspirants from Pouso Alegre, the students of philosophy and postulants from Batatais, and the students of Theology from Curitiba. Also participating were the Provincial Superior, Fr. Marcos Aurelio Loro, CMF, and the Prefect of Formation, Fr. Antonio Carlos Ferreira, CMF.
The objective of the Assembly was the bringing-together and integration of Claretians ‘in formation’ from all stages, the knowledge of the provincial and congregational reality, as well as the study of a current issue. On this occasion, the theme was: “The Claretian missionary Vocation in post-modernity” which was facilitated by lay-professor Antônio Boeing.
Also during these days, students presented the fruits of the “Week of Claretian Studies” in 2011, received extensive information about the World Youth Day that will be in Brazil the year 2013, and a presentation on the situation of the Mission that the Province maintains in Mozambique.
Important moments for these days have been the “Prayerful reading of the Word of God”, the celebration of the Eucharist, and the expression of cultural diversity that characterizes this Province.
To follow various moments of their Assembly, the students created the following blog: http://claretianos2012.blogspot.com/
