Jul 29, 2024 | Bible Ministry, MICLA

Medellín, Colombia. At the Villa Claret house in Medellín, Colombia, from July 23 to 27, 2024, the delegates from all Major Organisms of the Americas gathered to hold the VII Assembly of REBICLAR (Red Bíblica Claretiana de América or Claretian Biblical Network of America). The participants are: Henry Omonisaye (General Prefect of Bible and Communication); Sabas García (MICLA Secretary); Fredy Cabrera (Bible Diary Responsible); Marta Reyes and Rafael Díaz (Antillas); Jaime Michea and Jorge Ortigoza (San José del Sur); Juan Manuel Buzo and Vicente Cancino (México); Yolanda Cortés (USA-Canada); Giselle Zamora (Centroamérica); Julián Tejada (Colombia Oriental – Ecuador); Antonio Ferreira and Almir Borges (Brasil); Juan Carlos García, Pedro Nel Quintero and Adriana Castro (Colombia-Venezuela); William Gomez (Perú-Bolivia).

The warmth of conversations, empathic listening, formative moments, reports, and review of criteria statutes, the dream, designs, and commitments allowed them to weave an assembly in a family atmosphere under the fire of the Spirit.

The new REBICLAR team chose Giselle Zamora Arroyo of Centroamérica as its coordinator. The team members are Fr. Jorge Ortigoza Garcete, CMF (San José del Sur); Marta Beatriz Reyes Rosario (Antillas); Fr. Vicente Cancino Ordoñez, CMF (Mexico); Fr. Julián David Tejeda Patiño, CMF (Colombia Oriental-Ecuador); Fr. Antonio Carlos Ferreira, CMF (Brasil); Yolanda Cortés García (USA-Canada); William Lenin Gómez Alarcón (Perú-Bolivia); Fr. Juan Carlos García Ramos, CMF (Colombia-Venezuela).

They wish to share with all the Dream of REBICLAR that emerged from the Assembly:

We dream of a Biblical Network that, inspired by Mary, keeps, lives, and proclaims the Word of God and, in shared mission, with the Claretian Family, walk in the proclamation of the Kingdom in a prophetic way, from a popular and community reading of the Bible; which accompanies formative processes in America, fostering the encounter with Christ alive in the diversity of faces and realities of our continent.

We dream of a Claretian Biblical Network that, as a bridge, articulates, communicates, and systematizes all the biblical animation of all the pastoral ministries of MICLA Major Organisms, intelligently using the media.

The participants were thankful to God for allowing them to walk as a Claretian Biblical Network and recognize the fruits of life in their experiences in and from America in the Congregation.
