Rome, Italy. The Secretaries and collaborators of the Provincial/Delegation Secretariats of the different Major Organisms of MICLA Conference (Antillas, Brasil, Centroamérica, Colombia-Venezuela, Colombia Oriental – Ecuador, México, Perú-Bolivia, San José del Sur, USA-Canada) attended the Training for MICLA Secretaries via Zoom from October 12 to 16, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the General Secretariat converted the original plan to gather physically in Brazil in May of this year into online training.
The said training is part of a series of training for the Provincial/Delegation secretaries in the Congregation, which started last year in Sri Lanka for the Asians, to complete the database and profile of our Congregation and equip them with the necessary learnings that a Claretian secretary should know. Hopefully, at the end of the month or before the year ends, the database of the Claretians in America would be 100% complete. The training in Europe and Africa will follow soon.
The ministry of the secretaries in the Congregation is not just a mere secretarial office job. On the one hand, it is an office task, but on the other, it is apostolic, a mission like that of the parish, schools, and other frontiers, vocation promotion, and an on-going formation. It is not a mere job. It is a ministry.
