Madrid, Spain. On July 8, 2020, the community of Forge Center at Los Negrales (Madrid) celebrated the Silver Jubilee of the Priestly Ordination of Fr. Roland Chidiebere Onuekwusi, CMF, with a solemn Eucharistic celebration and a fraternal meal. Though the celebration was hampered by the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, a couple of Claretians from Madrid still arrived to join in the celebration. In contrast, the rest of the world, especially Roland’s family from Nigeria and many Claretians and friends from other African countries, Italy, Spain, and Latin America, joined in via Google Meet.
Fr. Roland, in his Thanksgiving Mass, recalled all the places where the missionary mandate took him over the last 25 years. He thanked God for His grace and mercy. He also thanked Father Claret, the Congregation, and his biological family for accompanying him in his priestly and missionary vocation.
We congratulate Fr. Roland and wish him many more fruitful years of ministry at the service of God and His Church.
