Third Ordinary Assembly of the Padre Xifré Delegation

Feb 26, 2025 | Padre Xifre, Chapters & Assemblies

Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea. From February 16 to 21, 2025, the Claretian Missionaries of the Pade Xifré Delegation held their Third Ordinary Assembly under the theme: “Missionaries of Hope.” Presided over by Fr. Joseph Mbungu, CMF, Prefect General of Formation, this Assembly marked the conclusion of the 2022-2025 triennium.

The event began with the enthronement of the Word of God, followed by greetings from the Major Superior, Fr. Félix-Obaga Eworo Bilogo, CMF, the Superior General, Fr. Matthew Vattamattam, CMF, and Fr. Joseph Mbungu, CMF. A message was also shared from Sr. Natividad Mikué Obono, Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Immaculate (MMI).

A recollection led by the president focused on “Pilgrims of Hope,” emphasizing missionary hope and its practice. The theme aligned with the Church’s Jubilee of Hope, highlighting five key areas: prayer and trust in God, mission, the Creed, community life, and daily gratitude.

The Delegation Government presented reports based on the Congregation’s three transformative processes: Missionary Outreach, Witnesses of the Joy of the Gospel, and Adorers in Spirit. Participants identified strengths, challenges, and obstacles, leading to an open discussion.

The new Government Team of the Delegation was announced:

  • Fr Félix-Obaga Eworo Bilogo, CMF – Major Superior
  • Fr Inocencio Moiché Solebaba, CMF – Councilor
  • Fr Salustiano Oyono Nguema Mangué, CMF – Councilor
  • Fr Rody Chardin Moukanda Mouaya, CMF – Councilor

To support the leadership, members committed to a deeper spiritual life and bold missionary work.

During the Assembly, the bishops of Mongomo, Monsignor Juan Domingo Beka Esono Ayang, CMF, and Monsignor Miguel Angel Nguema Bee, SDB, along with the Secretary of the Episcopal Conference of Equatorial Guinea, visited the participants. They encouraged renewal and vigilance against secularization, reaffirming the Claretians’ role as “masters and guides of evangelization.”

With hope and gratitude, the Padre Xifré Delegation members were sent forth to continue their mission, following the charism of Saint Anthony Mary Claret and relying on the intercession of the Virgin Mary.
