Toluca, México. In July 2012 the Cordimarian Missionary Sisters will celebrate their XIII General Chapter. This announcement comes from their Superior General, Sr. María Cibrián, MCM, in a letter dated July 16, 2011 from Toluca, México.
This Institute, which is part of the Claretian Family, was founded in Mexico in 1921 by Fr. Julián Collel, CMF and Mother Carmen Serrano. Following Jesus the Missionary from the spirituality of St. Anthony Mary Claret, and the spirit of their Founders, the sisters share the apostolate of education, catechesis, and religious publications in Central America, México and the United States.
The Superior General, in her exhortation to the sisters, concluded with the words: “We enter, then, into a time of grace, with a joyful spirit, growing in hope and availability for participation, placing our gaze on Jesus whom we follow and imploring the intercession of St. Anthony Mary Claret, who, on a day like today, founded his beloved Congregation of Missionaries, Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
