Madrid, Spain: The eighth English edition of FORGE, the Claretian Renewal Encounter, was officially inaugurated at the Forge Center in Los Negrales on September 23, 2024, with the inaugural Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. José Cristo Rey Garcia Paredes, CMF, the renowned Claretian theologian of consecrated life. Rev. Fr. Adolfo Lamata Muyo, CMF the Provincial represented the Province of Santiago and Rev. Fr. Joe Terry de Bosco John Bosco, CMF represented the Forge alumni. In his homily, Fr. Cristo Rey invited the Forge participants to be “the torchbearers of Christ’s love in the world yearning for light and warmth.”
Forge 08/24 cohort consists of 11 participants from 6 major organisms of the Congregation: Congo, Chennai, Fatima, Indonesia-Timor Leste, Saint Thomas, and USA-Canada. The coordinators for this edition are: Frs. Félix Kouame Ketoglo, Paulson Veliyannoor, and Antony Bhyju Vincent. From this edition onwards, the Forge will be of 80 days duration, with around 20 days per each of the four phases: Quid Prodest, Patris Mei, Caritas Christi, and Spiritus Domini.
