España. A group of seventy young pilgrims from Spain, Italy and Portugal, coordinated by the Team of Child-Youth Vocational Ministry of the Province of Santiago, gathered in Lanheses (Portugal), in order to cover together the Way of St. James in this Jubilee Year of the Saint.
This joint activity of the different teams of Youth Ministry started on
July 17 and it is expected to end in Segovia on the 28th of the same month.
The group coming from Italy, 12 young people from Altamura and one from Trieste, prepared themselves sharing several activities; among them, one recollection day and one mini-pilgrimage to the “Santuario del Buen Camino”. On Monday, July 12, Mons. Mario Paciello, Bishop of Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti, gave them a “mission cross.”
Ready to live this completely new experience, the Italian young people wish that this living together with the groups from Spain and Portugal may serve to create bonds and make effective the suppression of all frontiers. The Way of St. James is a road of encounter also for the Claretian ministry.
