May 6, 2021 | Colombia Oriental - Ecuador, MICLA, Noticeboard, Solidarity & Mission, UN Presence

Bogotá, Colombia. In the framework of the National Strike, which has been taking place since last Wednesday, April 28, the Claretian Missionaries of the Province of Colombia Oriental-Ecuador denounced to the public opinion what happened on the night of May 4, 2021, when several aircraft of the Military Forces and members of the Police Forces entered and used in an arbitrary manner the facilities of the Claretian School of Bosa. The statement of our brothers expresses the rejection of the abuses and violations to the human rights and manifests its solidarity with the victims left by the complex social situation that the whole country is living.

Likewise, the Solidarity and Mission Team (SOMI) of the Claretian Missionaries of America (MICLA), with presence in the United Nations, joined the demonstrations and the clamor of the Colombian people and has issued a public statement on the situation of Colombia.
