Rome. September, 15, today, the Chapter Document was approved with all its sections in the mid day session. The participants manifested their joy and felicitated themselves with a prolonged applause.
Followed by this Fr. Artur Teixiera CMF, moderator of the day, read out the section 28.1 of the Chapter Rule which tells, “In one of the final sessions a proposal will be put to the vote in order to authorize Fr. General, in promulgating the proceedings, to introduce those corrections of style and order which, without in any way modifying the contents, may be necessary for their best presentation”. After listening to the proposal, the Chapter Assembly voted in favour of it unanimously.
Once the Document was approved, Brother Carlos Verga CMF, General Prefect of Youth Vocation Ministry (YVM), opened a forum to listen to some proposals or suggestions to orient the future coordination of this congregational priority. The following were some of the responses: first of all, we must give priority to the encounter of the younger generation with Jesus, to accompany in the vocational discernment of the new generations, to empower a holistic and integral youth ministry, to offer a closer and personalized accompaniment to a young man, to support the youth ministry from the community level, to promote and support the leadership of the youth, etc.
In the afternoon session, the chapter members gathered together first by the Conferences and then, all together in the hall for a dialogue on the possible dynamisms and strategies to communicate the experience and result of the XXV General Chapter to the Missionaries in each major organism.
