Cordial greetings from the chapter members gathered at Provincial House, Karukutty, India.
We brief you the minutes of the 2nd (5th Wednesday) day of the Chapter. The chapter members came together for the Morning Prayer at 6.30 which was followed by the Holy Mass.
As the first event of the day’s transaction we continued the discussion in group on the reports presented by the Provincial government at 9 a.m.
At 11 a.m. the four group secretaries presented their reports and we had very lively discussion on various issues pertaining to the life of the province.
At 3 p.m. the outgoing provincial government responded to the quarries and clarifications made by the chapter members in groups.
The 4th session of the day began at 6 p.m. The agenda of this session was to present the working document of the chapter on the theme “Fraternal life in the community: a call to holiness”. The theme was presented with aid of the audio-visuals by Fr. George Kollamparampil (Pre-capitular commission).
The 5th session of the day started at 9 p.m. and the Chapter president explained the election modalities and statutes to be followed in the election of the provincial government.
The publication of the result of the sounding made by the members of province was also made known. There was a unanimous proposal from the chapter members that the term of the new provincial government shall be for three years. And it was approved by the chapter president.
