Uganda. “Without a revision of life, life is not worth living,” a Greek philosopher said. On this basis, the pastor of Kiyunga, Fr. Mathew Mundackal, organized a retreat with his parishioners on March 26 and 27, which was quite an event. We wanted to reaffirm ourselves in the Christian faith. It is the first time that we held a retreat of this kind in the parish. Many people from different social milieus responded to the invitation. The acceptance was vibrant, the people relived their faith, and we hope that the parish will not be the same after those days.
The 43 parochial substations participated actively. Some people had to endure the heat of the sun and the cold of the night in search of the living God, and many found him at the end and received the Reconciliation with God and with the brothers. An adult was baptized and some matrimonies were reconciled. The event was celebrated by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Jinja. It was an important work of our brothers, of the Vincentian religious, of the diocesan priests and of the Christians in general who collaborated in this celebration.
