Poland. The third spiritual Retreat for the friends of the Claretian missions took place in Krzydlina Mala from September 11 to 13, 2009. Fifty eight persons participated from Poland, Germany and one from Brazil. It was organized by Fr. Piotr Boron, responsible for the missions in our Province of Poland. The main theme was “The brilliance of the Claretian Martyrs” presented by Fr. Robert Kycia, cmf.
It started with the welcoming to all the participants during supper and with the presentation of the timetable of the Retreat. Next was a Eucharist in the parish church. After it there was an actuation of the artistic group of Zareba, under the direction of Fr. Franck Molski. The parishioners of Zareba represented the Oratory “Roman Triptych” by Pope John Paul II in the style of a song with some recited texts.
The following day we started with the celebration of “The Hours” of the liturgical Office in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Robert dedicated the conferences of this day to the Claretian martyrs, especially the blessed Andrés Solá and companions and also the blessed Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro. In the afternoon we gathered for the adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the Crown of the Divine Mercy and the missionary Rosary. On Sunday, after breakfast and the last conference, we celebrated the Eucharist together with the local community.
The Retreat seemed too short, but it was lived with joy and benefit.
