Spain. On the occasion of the request of authorization to transfer the remains of Fr. Ruiz from Sigüenza to Seville, the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints ordered that a distinguished relic be left in Sigüenza.
Once the remains of the Servant of God were deposited in the Parish of St. Anthony M. Claret of Seville, the General Postulator proceeded to hand in the relic to
Mons. José Sánchez, Bishop of Guadalajara-Sigüenza. The handing in took place in the Bishop’s residence on May 6, 2010, moment that is shown in the photograph.
