Barrackpore, India. On July 16, 2020, amid ‘COVID 19’ lockdown, Kolkata Independent Delegation celebrated the Congregation’s 171st Foundation Day, the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee of the Claretian Presence in India, the 1st Anniversary of the canonical erection of Kolkata Independent Delegation. Along with this threefold celebration, the long awaited priestly ordination of Deacon Honest Raj B., CMF, took place at 10 AM at Claret Nivas, Barrackpore. Most Rev. Shyamal Bose, D.D, Bishop of Baruipur Diocese, conferred the ordination to Honest Raj in the presence of Fr. V. Lawrence, CMF, Kolkata’s Major Superior and guests.
It is noteworthy that it was the first time of the bishop to visit Claret Nivas, and Honest Raj is his first ordinand after his episcopal ordination and installation on May 4, 2020.
