Mexico, Mexico. On the morning of August 6, 2020, convened by the coordination team of the next SOMI MICLA Continental Assembly to be held from October 12th to 18th, 2020, communication agents from the different Major Organisms of America met for the first time.
The Continental Assembly is an annual event celebrated and hosted in different countries where the Claretian Missionaries are present in order to strengthen its services in favor of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation. This year the organization and reception of the participants fell on Mexico. But due to the pandemic, the Claretian Province of Mexico was forced to seek new forms of encounter and participation.
In the first virtual meeting held by the coordinators and communicators from Mexico, Colombia-Venezuela, Peru-Bolivia, Cuba, Brazil, Panama, and Chile, the action plan and program was presented. It will be composed of videoconferences that will have both private and public sessions. The sessions that are open for the general public will be shared on the different social network platforms.
One of the many decisions and agreements of this fruitful first encounter has been the conformation of working teams and the digital contribution that each Major Organism has to share. Likewise, this had been a wonderful occasion to make future plans of collaboration that would surely enrich the different Claretian communities in the future.
