Shillong, India. A Meeting of Claretian Pastors working in the different parishes of Northeast India was conducted on September 26th and 27th, 2012 at Claret Villa, Shillong.
The theme was celebration of the “Year of Faith” in our parishes and how to rejuvenate our parish ministry based on our charism.
Fr. Jose Anchupankil, Superior Delegate inaugurated the two days of meeting by lighting the lamp and giving the keynote address basing on the duties of the Parish Priest according to the Canon Law and the Claretian priority of a shared ministry and being on the side of the poor.
Fr. Joseph Mappilaparambil introduced the theme of re-evangelization based on the documents of the Church and the Claretian charism.
Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Poovathumkudy, the professor of Oriens Theological College enlightened the participants by his scholarly presentation that aimed at the renewal of evangelization through creative ministries.
