ORDINATIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Zamboanga City, Philippines. The celebration of the Solemnity of Saint Anthony Mary Claret was made even more special with the ordination of six young Claretian missionaries who comes from Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Ordained as priests were Frs. Pham Quang Sang, CMF, Ven John Porras, CMF, Le Duc Tho, CMF, and Hoang Viet Hung, CMF. They were joined by Students Francisco Saw Jimmy Htwe, CMF and Wigbert Papa, CMF who were ordained deacons. Most Rev. Leo M. Dalmao, CMF, DD of the Prelature of Isabela, Basilan, the ordaining prelate, presided over the Eucharist at San Antonio Maria Claret Parish, Zamboanga City. Claretian missionaries and lay partners in mission from the different communities down south of the country gathered as we also celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Claretian missionary presence in the Philippines. Though the families and friends of the ordinands were not able to come due to pandemic restrictions, they were able to witness the celebration through a live stream via the Be a Claretian Missionary Facebook page of the province.
