Lagos, Nigeria. The joy that comes with every priestly ordination is always felt by all, so it was that the members of the Independent Delegation of West Nigeria were filled with joy at the Ordination of our 4 brothers to the priesthood. Deacon Timothy Terlumun Amaku, CMF was ordained in the Diocese of Gboko, Benue State on the 4th of May 2019 by Most Rev. William Amove Avenya, Bishop of Gboko at the St. John the Baptist Cathedral Church, Gboko. Deacon Akaluzia Jude Ofuani, CMF was ordained on the 13th of July, 2019 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam in Delta State by Most Rev. Hilary Dachelem, CMF, Bishop of Bauchi. And last but not the least, Deacons Israel Philip Agada and Eneojo Paul, CMFF were ordained on July 20, 2019 at the Our Lady Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Idah in Kogi State by Most Rev. Anthony Ademu Adaji, MSP, Bishop of Idah.
All four had their postulancy formation in Ibefun Postulate House, novitiate at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Novitiate in Utonkon, Benue State, philosophy and theology in Owerri and Ibadan respectively.
Each of the Ordinations came with the anticipated aura of joy for both the Delegation and the people of God in these dioceses. It was well attended by most of the Claretians in the Delegation, other Religious men and women as well as the diocesan clergies.
