Seringueiras, Brazil: On Sunday, January 5th, Educado Henrique de Souza Rodrigues, was ordained deacon by Bishop Dom Benedito de Araújo, the Bishop of Guajará-Mirim. The ordination ceremony took place at Christo Rei Parish and was attended by a large number of priests, religious, including the provincial econome, Father Wagner Aragon cmf, on behalf of the Provincial Government and the family members of the Ordinary. A considerable number of the faithful also witnessed the event.
The ordination ceremony, which consisted of several rites expressing the delivery of the ordination to Jesus Christ and the Church, was filled with emotions. Ir. Educado expressed his free will to assume the ministry of the diaconate before the bishop and the people of God, before prostrating to the ground and being ordained with the imposition of hands. He was then covered with the stole and dalmatic, received the Book of the Gospels, and welcomed as a new Claretian deacon.
The new deacon will serve at the Uruaçu / GO Church Service in the Mission of the Claretian Missionaries in Goianesia, at Nossa Senhora Parish. At the end of the ceremony, he expressed his gratitude to all who supported him throughout his vocational journey and made a special mention of his family and friends who have always prayed for him.
This ordination marks a new chapter in the life of Educado Henrique Rodrigues da Silva, as he begins his ministry as a deacon, serving the people of God and spreading peace and love throughout the world.
