Medellin, Colombia. The new Bible exhibit room was inaugurated on August 3, 2024, at the Jesús Nazareno Parish in the city of Medellín. This space, named “Book of Life and Book of the Bible,” is a valuable addition to the existing rooms showcasing the Old and New Testaments. It enables visitors to engage with the Bible from various perspectives and languages, allowing them to apply its teachings to their lives in a meaningful way.
This room’s uniqueness lies in its collection of 120 Bibles, organized into 13 groups: Hebrew, Greek, Latin, polyglots, bilingual, modern languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, Basque), languages of Eastern countries, Protestant translations, Ecumenical, Spanish and Latin American versions, indigenous languages, children’s books, apocryphal books, and other languages.
The Claretian Province of Colombia-Venezuela is grateful and appreciates the dedication of Fr. Gonzalo de la Torre, CMF. Through his commitment and hard work, he makes it possible for everyone to enjoy this collection of Bibles that allows visitors to recognize the Word of God embodied in different cultures and languages of humanity.
The members are grateful to the Province for providing them with this space and for its commitment to the biblical animation of the ministries. They are also thankful to the Claretian Provinces of Brazil and the USA-Canada for their valuable support and commitment to this evangelizing mission.
“May this experience serve as motivation to continue working together, as Claretian Missionaries of Colombia-Venezuela Province and MICLA Conference, for an evangelization that is rooted in the reality of our peoples and leads us to a fruitful biblical animation of all ministries.”
