Rome, Italy. After nine years of dedicated service in the General Government, where he served as Secretary of Prefectures and later as Coordinator of the Communication Department, Fr. Louie III Guades, CMF, has been called to continue his mission as a Claretian in his home province of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo in the Philippines.
Fr. Louie, affectionately known as Fr. Luigi, was ordained in 2012 in the Philippines. His first assignment took him to Tungawan, where he served for three years as an assistant parish priest. In addition to his pastoral duties, he oversaw the youth ministry for the province and the East Asia Claretian Missionaries (ASCLA), while also serving as the province’s Information Technology Secretary.
In 2015, Fr. Luigi’s technical expertise in communication caught the attention of the General Government, leading to his appointment in Rome to assist the General Secretariat. He embraced this new role with enthusiasm, dividing his time between the community of the Basilica Sacro Cuore di Maria and the General Curia in Rome. Over the years, he worked tirelessly as Secretary of Prefectures and later as Coordinator of the Communication Department.
Fr. Luigi is renowned not only for his multifaceted technical skills but also for his deep love for the Congregation, missionary zeal, openness, creativity, sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and his ability to connect with people. These qualities enabled him to make significant contributions to the development of the newly established Communication Department.
As we express our gratitude to God for the invaluable service of Fr. Louie, CMF, to the Congregation, we wish him a fruitful and passionate ministry in his new mission. At the same time, we welcome the new Communication Team, composed of Frs. Nelson Thomas Puthenparambil (Coordinator of the Communication Department), José Enrique García Rizo, Joseph Ikemefuna Iwobi and Joel Nkongolo Dikuba, CMFF.
