The councils of the three major Organisms of the North-American Claretian Conference have held their annual meeting at Los Angeles, California (U.S) on the 14th and 15th November 2007. Alejandro Cerón, Provincial of Mexico, was also present.
It was a nice occasion of meeting the newly elected council of the Western Province on June 2007. Each Organism exposed the activities of each Prefecture. In spite of the decrease and growing age of personnel, great enthusiasm was shown mainly around the bicentenary celebration of Claret’s birth date. The hope of new candidates to Claretian life, especially in the Eastern Province, the arrival of new members from other parts of the world, the common project of the Juarez mission (Mexico) and the possibility of exercising the ministry in one of the three Organisms, seemed to be a source of great enthusiasm.
Two coming rendezvous: a retreat will take place from the 7th to the 11th of January 2008 at Mo Ranch, Hunt (Texas), The preacher will be Fr. Marcel Fonts from the Asian Delegation. Fr. Josep Abella will attend it and will have some interventions. There will also be the Claretian Encounter at Los Angeles from the 15th to the 19th of June 2009.
