Rome, Italy. The annual meeting of the General Economic Council took place at the General Curia in Rome from Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14, 2019 with the presence of 7 Claretians from different zones of the Congregation together with those who form part of the Prefecture of Economy Team in Rome. They reviewed the economic situation of the Congregation in its diverse aspects and they also discussed on other important matters like the development of the Online economic courses; the implementation of the web platform in collecting the balance sheets and budget proposals of the Organisms (which is to be called FINCLAR); the design of the course for new economes in Rome; the soon to be printing of the new Accounting Plan; and other matters.
Again they found out that the economic situation of the Congregation is tight but sufficient to continue to carry forward the mission entrusted, mainly due to the practice of sharing of goods in the communities and Organisms as well as between them and the rest of the Congregation.
