Luanda, Angola. The Major Superiors of the Claretian Missionaries of Africa (ACLA) held a week-long session in Luanda, Angola from February 19 to 25, 2024. During the ACLA meeting, which was hosted by the Maé da Africa Independent Delegation at the Saint Joseph Centre within the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, members engaged in insightful discussions and deep reflections on key topics related to their mission in Africa.
Led by Fr. Jude Thaddeus Langeh, CMF, President of ACLA, the meeting was attended by Major Superiors from different Claretian Major Organisms and Missions across Africa. The discussions centered around themes such as evangelization in the modern African context, development strategies, and student and formator exchange.
The event fostered an atmosphere of collaboration and companionship, strengthening unity within the congregation. Moreover, amidst exchanges on pastoral and social initiatives, the Major Superiors also shared their individual odysseys, confronting challenges and harvesting wisdom, thereby nurturing a collective pool of knowledge and best practices.
The closing Mass, presided over by Father Gabriel Isaias, CMF, Major Superior of the Maé da Africa Delegation, served as a moment of gratitude and renewed commitment to their mission.
The meeting in Luanda was a significant event that deepened bonds within the congregation and inspired a renewed dedication to serving communities across Africa.
