On March 22, the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Commission of the Claretian Family organized an online reflection workshop on the importance of JPIC in Claretian mission and spirituality. The meeting was inspired by the latest social doctrine encyclicals of the Church, Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti, and brought together approximately 100 participants from over 30 countries.
During the session, participants shared various experiences on how JPIC is lived and understood within the diversity of the Claretian Family. In a world fragmented by specializations and divisions, the workshop proposed JPIC not merely as a specific aspect of the mission but as an integrative way of life. It was highlighted as a bridge between spirituality and social action, between prayer and commitment to the poorest, and between the Claretian charism and the evangelizing mission.
The event reinforced the awareness of JPIC’s central role in missionary life and provided tools to live out this dimension concretely in the different contexts of the Claretian Family.
