Bangalore, India. Institute of Consecrated Life – Sanyasa (ICLS) has once again organized its renowned one-month summer course on the theology of Consecrated Life, providing a valuable opportunity for consecrated persons to enhance their knowledge and understanding of their vocation. The program, held throughout the month of May 2023, received overwhelming participation from sixty individuals representing twenty-one different religious institutes.
Led by esteemed resource persons, most of them being Claretians, the intensive course covered a wide range of subjects, delving into the biblical spirituality of Consecrated Life, historical perspectives on the vocation, the theology of vocation, community life, joyful living of evangelical counsels, affective maturity, psycho-spiritual integration, the mission of the consecrated, and the theology of charism. The diverse topics aimed to provide comprehensive insights into the various dimensions of Consecrated Life.
In addition to the classroom sessions, a day of recollection was also organized to offer participants a reflective and contemplative space for personal spiritual growth. The inclusion of this special day allowed participants to rejuvenate their spirits and deepen their connection with their calling.
The program received tremendous appreciation from the participants, who expressed their satisfaction with the high-quality ongoing formation provided by ICLS. The course’s condensed format enabled the consecrated persons to gain a comprehensive understanding of the theology of Consecrated Life within a short span of one month.
