Port-Bouët, Ivory Coast. On the morning of October 8, 2020, the Claretian Missionaries in Ivory Coast, through the PROCLADE Côte d’Ivoire, inaugurated the community library named after the current Provincial Superior of Poland, Fr. Piotr Beza, CMF. The library is within the parish of Saint Jean Marie Vianney of Vridi-Cité, Port-Bouët, a suburb of Abidjan.
Fr. Félix Kouamé Ketoglo, CMF, Local Superior of the Claretian Missionaries – Abidjan Vridi, thanked the Mission Procure of Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso for the work done from the beginning of the project until its practical materialization. On behalf of the beneficiaries, a student thanked the Claretians and the donors, especially PROCLADE Bética, for the beautiful edifice. Mission Procurator Fr. Andrews Cantona Adukwaw also expressed his gratitude to the administrative, political, military, and religious authorities who made the project possible. He also showed his appreciation for the General Mission Procure’s support to the project and then acknowledged the work and collaboration of the PROCLADE Betica.
The multimedia library contains 12 computers with a high-speed internet connection, one video projector, two multifunction printers, 2000 reading books, and 6 Dictionaries.
The inauguration ceremony was closed with the symbolic cutting of the ribbon and building inspection by the authorities mentioned above.
