Pamplona, Spain. This past November 21st the 12th “Day of Excellence in Navarro” took place in the Fernando Remacha Hall of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA).
The organizations committed to Excellence according to the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) were recognized at this event.
The Claretian Missionaries’ “Colegio Cardenal Larraona” of Pamplona was recognized with the 500+ Certification according to the EFQM model, surpassing the other 12 Navarran entities who received this honor in the past.
“Colegio Cardenal Larraona” also received the Navarra Award for Excellence 2012 in the category of public and private non-profit entities, an award given by the Government of Navarra through the Navarra Public Entity Foundation for Excellence.
José Ángel Fernández Igoa and Charo Aizpún, in charge of quality management at the school these past years, received the 500+ Certification given by the president of the Parliament of Navarro, Alberto Catalán. In addition, Fr. Agustín Ortiz CMF, Director General of the school for the last 8 years, and who recently has been assigned to another center, received the Navarra Award for Excellence at the hands of the Councilor of the Presidency of Justice and Home Affairs, Javier Morras.
In the speech of appreciation for the award he received, Fr. Augustín Ortiz, insisted on the evangelizing nature of the college, which was born more than 40 years ago, with the mission of working that God may be known, loved, served, and praised, thus giving continuity to the charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
