Yogyakarta, Indonesia. On October 24, 2019, the Solemnity of our Father Founder, St. Anthony Mary Claret, seven young missionaries Perpetually Professed in the hands of Fr. Yohanes Maria Vianey Lusi Emi, CMF, Major Superior of Indonesia – Timor Leste Independent Delegation at the Skolastikat Claretian Yogyakarta. They were Schs. Arnoldus Kutu Ndiwa, Agustinus Djeramu, Krisantus Emanuel Nurak, Aloysius Etwino Ganti, Silvestre Antonio Pereira, Yohanes Naharjo Klau, Lukas Benevides, CMFF.
They purposely made the vows on the feast of the Father Founder to emphasize the charismatic role of St. Anthony Mary Claret in the life of the Claretian Missionaries and to keep on moving with his vision, “My spirit for the whole world,” especially for the newly perpetual professed members.
Drawing the inspirations from the Book of Job and the Emmaus narrative of Luke, in his homily, Fr. Vianey called the attention of the perpetualists and the rest of the assembly to grow in the personal encounter with the Lord. “Faith begins with the personal encounter with the Lord,” and it is this profound encounter that we bring along our missionary path.
The celebration was attended by hundreds of people including the family members of the professed and the Claretian community of Yogyakarta.
