Bata, Equatorial Guinea. On August 14, 2019, Msgr. Juan Matogo, CMF, Bishop of Bata, celebrated his 50th anniversary as a Claretian Missionary. Msgr. Juan made his First Profession in the Congregation on August 15, 1969 in Spain.
The Local ordinary of the Diocese of Bata willed to celebrate this event at the Father Xifré Formation House, thus taking advantage of consecrating the new altar of the Novitiate House. The most emotional moment was when he renewed his Religious Profession as a Missionary Son of the Heart of Mary in the hands of Fr. Salustiano Oyono, CMF (Consultor and Prefect of Apostolate of Padre Xifré Independent Delegation). Afterwards, Fr. Salustiano delivered the congratulatory message sent by the General Government through the Secretary General.
The Claretians of the Delegation and the Novitiate community as well as some members of his Diocesan Curia and some religious joined him in this momentous event.
