Chicago, USA. The USA-Canada Province’s Provincial Chapter has elected Fr. Paul Keller, CMF, as its new Provincial Superior for a six-year term. The election occurred on the evening of June 7, 2023, at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, located north of Chicago, Illinois.
Fr. Paul was born on July 12, 1966, in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA. He became a member of the Congregation of Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Claretian Missionaries) on August 9, 1990, and made his final vows on February 12, 1996, before being ordained a priest on September 12, 1996. He previously served as the Consultor and Prefect of Spirituality for the Province’s 2017 to 2023 term, as well as the Provincial Secretary for the same term. The Chapter will elect the new council members on the 8th of June, 2023.
The Claretian Missionaries of the USA-Canada Province are dedicated to seeing the world primarily through the eyes of the poor and making the world a better place to live. Their primary ministries in the U.S. and Canada are Preaching God’s Word, primarily through parish and Campus Ministry; Community development programs within high-poverty, urban communities; Publishing bilingual periodicals and materials to support the Hispanic ministry and leadership development in the Catholic Church; Publishing magazines and materials to help Catholics live their faith in the U.S. today; and Fostering and maintaining a devotion to St. Jude, the Patron Saint of Hope.
