Fr. Francisco Fernando Llanos Magallanes, CMF, from the Province of San José del Sur, died on July 11, 2022, in Santiago de Chile due to ulcer infection at the age of 102. He made his first profession on March 19, 1936, and was ordained to the priesthood on September 19, 1943. As we give thanks to the Lord for the gift of his person, his life, his Claretian vocation, and service, we ask him to welcome our friend and brother in his father’s house and place him on the table of the banquet of the Kingdom. At the hour of death, call me. To come to Thee, bid me. That I may praise Thee in the company of Thy saints for all eternity. Amen.
Fr. Francisco Fernando Llanos Magallanes, CMF
When a missionary dies, we should celebrate the last rites with devotion, fraternal love, and simplicity. We should remember all our brothers who have gone before us in the service of the Gospel, commending them to the Lord with the prescribed prayers, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We should show the same reverence and respect for our departed parents and for deceased collaborators of the Congregation.
