Fr. Daniel Nguma Muyika, CMF, of Congo Independent Delegation died on June 26, 2022, in the Democratic Republic of Congo due to a car accident. He made his first profession on August 8, 2015, and was ordained to the priesthood on October 23, 2021, in Kinshasa. He was for a time formator to postulants. He was known as a brave and dedicated missionary. As we give thanks to the Lord for the gift of his person, his life, his Claretian vocation, and service, we ask him to welcome our friend and brother in his father’s house and place him on the table of the banquet of the Kingdom. May he rest in peace.
Fr. Daniel Nguma Muyika, CMF
When a missionary dies, we should celebrate the last rites with devotion, fraternal love, and simplicity. We should remember all our brothers who have gone before us in the service of the Gospel, commending them to the Lord with the prescribed prayers, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We should show the same reverence and respect for our departed parents and for deceased collaborators of the Congregation.
