Fr. Armin Sixt, CMF, died at 09:50 a.m. on June 22, 2022, in Ursberg at the age of 65. He was the Provincial of the Deutschland Province. During one of his animation visits to Sri Lanka in 2010, he met an accident. He could not walk or talk audibly ever since. The untold sufferings he so peacefully carried for the last 12 years serve as a great witness to the Province’s members. He was taken care of at the Ursberg home for the aged. As we thank the Lord for the gift of his person, his life, his Claretian vocation, and service, we ask him to welcome our friend and brother in his father’s house and place him on the table of the banquet of the Kingdom. May he rest in peace.
Fr. Armin Sixt, CMF
When a missionary dies, we should celebrate the last rites with devotion, fraternal love, and simplicity. We should remember all our brothers who have gone before us in the service of the Gospel, commending them to the Lord with the prescribed prayers, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We should show the same reverence and respect for our departed parents and for deceased collaborators of the Congregation.
