Mexico. On November 19 and 20, 2009, Frs. Juan Carlos Martos and Alejandro Cerón visited the community of León, Gto. to present to them the reflection on the Chapter Declaration “Men on fire with love,” and to take advantage of the liturgical celebration of the Blessed Martyrs of San Joaquín to honour their memory in the San Joaquín ranch.
Towards noon some 50 faithful gathered to participate in a Eucharistic concelebration. Fr. Juan Carlos Martos presided over it and Frs. Alejandro Cerón (provincial Superior) and Fr. Juan José Pérez were the concelebrants. The main celebrant, in his homily, exhorted all present to follow the example of these Blessed Martyrs, and be faithful to the last consequences in order to obtain the friendship with God and with our fellow humans, that is to say, to be holy. He reminded us that the Martyrs should become an invitation to us to be aware that we too can and should become saints.
