Rome, Italy. From 16 to 18 February 2021, Brother Carlos Verga CMF, General Prefect of Youth Vocation Ministry, animated an online meeting on discernment, with the participation of the Prefect of Formation and local leaders of vocation ministry of the Province of Perú-Bolivia. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, Superiror General, and Fr. Joseph Mbungu-Mutu,CMF, General Prefect of Formation, also participated. The encounter’s particpants mainly shared the problem of lack of consolidation and perseverance, lack of clarity, discernment and maturity of the postulants and the lack of tools to accompany young people vocationally.
After three days of sharing that the gift of God is life and it is in life where vocation is strengthened, the importance of discerning the motions of the good Spirit was emphasized, which translates into strengthening active listening, reading one’s own life from the way of God and being accompanied in the search for vocation in the style of Claret.
