Canada. Representatives of the three Organisms of North America: Canada and the two of the United States, have gathered in Montreal. Father Alejandro Cerón, Provincial Superior of Mexico, shared the tasks, and Father Yvon Lafortaine could not be present for lack of health. The gathering took place from November 12 to 14, 2008.
In the first place there was an interesting interchange of significant event of each Organism, both in animation and in apostolate and formation.
The novitiate, where there is one novice for each province of the USA, this year is in Los Angeles, while it has been in Chicago for several years. Between the two Provinces an important collaboration in formation is maintained. Interchange of Claretian personnel is preparing the future unification of the two Provinces, which is an important theme of the second part of the meeting. Two students, from Nigeria and from India, have been assigned to the Canadian Delegation. They are continuing their formation and studies in the International Formation Centre in Colmenar Viejo (Spain). They will be incorporated to the Delegation once they finish their theological studies. Other themes of common interest were tackled. The theme of the reunification of the two provinces of the USA was dealt with in the second part of the meeting. For this debate we counted with Brother Paul Michalenko of the Congregation of Missionaries Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, who acted as moderator. The debate was animated and positive. The discussion will be continued in June 2009 in a joint assembly, and in the Summer Chapter of 2010.

As is the custom in these gatherings, there was a fraternal agape. The Guadalupe Mission in Montreal, had the kindness to receive the group and prepare a meal in the Honduran taste.
Next gathering will be celebrated on November 10-12, 2009, in Chicago.
