New Owerri, Nigeria. From the 22nd to 28th July 2019, the Youth and Vocation Ministry of East Nigeria Province held a Youth Week with the theme: Creative Impact: Positioning Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s Challenges (cf. Ex 35:35).
The week long activity which attracted hundreds of young people included spiritual and social activities like recollection, the Holy Mass, entrepreneurial seminars, health talks, sports activities, quiz competition on the bible and the life of St Anthony Mary Claret, and an excursion to the National War Museum.
At the end of the Youth Week, the exuberant young people had a thanksgiving Mass at St Anthony Mary Claret Church Area ‘A’ New Owerri Imo State. They were able to showcase to the worshipping community some of the items they were able to produce. Thus, they were equipped and empowered to the face present realities in a tough economic environment.
Awards of recognition were also given to some benefactors and committed youths.
