New Owerri, Nigeria. All the members of the Claretian Family and collaborators in the mission of East Nigeria Province gathered together at the St Anthony Mary Claret Parish in New Owerri, Imo State on the 28th of October 2018 to celebrate Claretian Family Day. Provincial Superior, Fr. Simeon Nwobi, CMF presided the Eucharistic celebration together with other Claretian priests. After the Holy Mass, he blessed the new shrine of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary and declared it open for public prayers and devotion. The shrine shall be the center for the activities that will be held during the celebration of the feast of the Immaculate Heart. He also prayed for and thanked the donors, the parishioners of the said parish.
Other social activities and entertainment accompanied the event.
