Sumatra, Indonesia. From the 29th of September to the 8th of October a group of 22 young Claretian Missionaries in their “5th Year” and who minister in the East Asia zone (Indonesia, Macao, Philippines, Taiwan, Timor East, and Vietnam) had an encounter in Sumatra, Indonesia.
In the likeness of the journey to Emmaus (Lk 24:13ff), they were able to reflect upon the reality of their own eucharistic and missionary journey.
The encounter contributed to a mutual understanding and the renewal of their missionary commitment facing the challenges of today’s world.
The Claretians have been in Indonesia for 25 years. Today it is a place where our Congregation has the most religious and priestly vocations. There are currently more than 100 seminarians and 29 priests.
