Ñumí, Paraguay. On August 18, the Diaconal and Presbyteral Ordination of two Paraguayan Claretians took place at the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish, in Ñumí City, department of Guairá. Most Reverend Ignacio Gogorza, Bishop Emeritus of Encarnación, accompanied by the Diocesan Administrator of the Diocese of Villarrica del Espíritu Santo, Msgr. Waldemar Sánchez, ordained student Jorge Ortigoza Garcete, CMF as deacon and Rev. Ovidio Ortigoza Ortigoza, CMF as priest.
The ordinands were accompanied by their parents, brothers, relatives, friends, religious and Claretian students, lay people from Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay, as well as diocesan and other religious priests, religious sisters, and parishioners from the Paraguayan communities of Yhú, Capiibary, Lambaré and Ñumí. Also present was the Provincial Council of the Claretian Province of San José del Sur, headed by Fr. Mario Gutíerrez, CMF.
The next day Fr. Ovidio celebrated his first Mass in the same community of San Rafael.
