Quezon City, Philippines: December 12, 2022, On the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 9 young Claretians were ordained to the sacred orders of deacons (2) and presbyters (7), respectively. Two of whom belong to the Province of San Jose del Sur and 7 are from Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province.
Bishop Leo M. Dalmao, CMF DD, the ordaining prelate, highlighted in his homily not to allow the demands of work to strip you from having the privilege encounter with the Lord in prayer and meditations and to remain humble servant, like our Mother Mary, who is docile, humble and obedient to the will of God. “Be a good priest and learn how to listen to the people…Be a father and a shepherd to all” Bishop Leo added before he ended his homily.
Fr. Mario David Gutiérrez, CMF, the provincial superior of San Jose del Sur, traveled all the way from Argentina to grace the occasion and be one with Fr. Ronell and Fr. Francis Dan as they bravely embraced the challenge to be dedicate their lives for the mission. The provincial superior of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province, Fr. Elias L. Ayuban Jr., CMF in his message reminded the newly ordained ministers to strive to be faithful to our 4 Mothers, Mother Mary, the mother Church, our mother Congregation and our own mothers.
Among those who were ordained, Fr. Edward Naing Lin Htun, is the second ordained Claretian priest from Myanmar.
