Bangalore, India. Convocation day is always a special significant occasion in the life of any educational institute. It is the same for ICL: Institute for Consecrated Life – Sanyasa too. 20th March 2020 was a remarkable day for ICL as the 18th Convocation Ceremony was held on that day. On that auspicious day, 53 students received their diplomas and certificates.
In the welcome address, Fr. Arul Jesu Robin, the Director, emphasized that graduation is an opt time to reflect on the hard work of the past, incredible accomplishment of the present and the immense possibilities of the future.
After the annual report by Fr. S. Devadoss, the Secretary of the Institute, the convocation ceremony was officially opened by Rev. Fr. Peter D’Souza, the Vice Provincial of the Claretians of Bangalore Province. It was followed by the reading from the Scripture. Then, the candidates were presented for graduation by the director and were accepted by the president of the day. The students were honored with degrees and certificates and then Rev. Fr. Peter D’Souza gave an inspiring message challenging them to go, to begin an era of hope, to inspire others and be inspired in their journey of consecrated life.
On that beautiful occasion, the reminiscence was given by two of the outgoing students representing the diploma and PG students. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks by Fr. Justin Kuzhivelil, CMF, one of the outgoing P.G. students.
