Sasaima, Colombia. The Province of Colombia East and Ecuador continues on the road of relaunching their project of life and mission. For this purpose they had their XVI Pastoral Assembly at the Mercedes House in Sasaima (Cundinamarca) from April 8 -12th.
The Assembly, with the participation of 42 Claretian Missionaries including representatives in their initial formation, reflected on the on balance sheets, budgets, and production of the economy in the Province, under the guidelines of Chapter 4 of the CMF Directory.
On Tuesday the 9th, the project of Vocation Ministry was presented as a priority of the life and mission of the Province and Congregation. This project was enriched with the contribution of the Assembly participants and local communities who are committed to put it into practice.
In the successive days, they worked on the report of the Prefecture of Ministry and, using group dynamics, one reflected on the structures of the provincial mission: parishes, schools, projects and works. An prominent place was given to the areas of the Biblical Pastoral, and Justice, Peace, and the Integrity of Creation.
The Province continues its journey with an attitude of reflection, prayer, and celebration – asking he Spirit to shine on this special moment of its life and mission.
