Spain. With the assistance of Fr. General, the closing acts of the Centenary of the Province of Bética were celebrated in Seville on October 27 and 28. Also present were Provincial Superiors of the Claretian Missionaries and the Claretian Missionary Sisters of Iberia, the Directress General of the Cordimarian Filiation, the Secretary General of the Lay Claretians and a large participation of the Claretian Family and lay persons of the Province. The logo “ENCIENDE” (lighten) focused the theme of the anniversary, remembering the words of our Founder who dreamed about us as “men on fire with love, who spread its flames wherever they go…”. Since 1906 when the Province was constituted, the Claretians of Bética have evangelized the lands of Southern Spain (Andalucía, the Canaries and Extremadura), of Africa (Zimbabwe), America (Argentina) and Asia (Philippines).
