Krzydlina Mała, Poland. From April 22 to 25, 2025, the Claretian Missionaries of the Province of Poland gathered at the Retreat House in Krzydlina Mała for their Provincial Assembly, presided over by Fr. Pedro Belderrain, CMF, Prefect General of Apostolate. The event brought together 21 missionaries from Poland and abroad to reflect on parish pastoral ministry under the theme: “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” (Lk 5:4).
Prepared by a special commission, the Assembly adopted a synodal approach, with discussions shaped by proposals from lay groups and Claretian communities. These contributions were presented on the third day by lay coordinators and community superiors.
The first three days focused on enriching parish ministry. Experts in youth and parish renewal, along with some lay collaborators, presented a Parish Renewal Project, offering tools and inspiration for deeper evangelization.
A key moment was the visit of Bishop Jacek Kiciński, CMF, who celebrated the Eucharist and addressed the participants. Prayer was central throughout the Assembly: each day began with Eucharistic adoration, and evening prayers took place outdoors at the statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, including Vespers and the Rosary. A biblical-vocational celebration also enriched the spiritual atmosphere.
On the second evening, the Assembly connected online with the Government of the Delegation of St. John Paul II (Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso), who presented their mission work. The session concluded with a multimedia presentation of a rock opera on the Claretian Forge, produced with AI support.
The third day was particularly significant, as nine lay representatives from six Claretian parishes in Poland joined the Assembly. They shared thoughtful feedback on the pastoral work of their parish priests and suggested ways to improve parish life, sparking constructive dialogue.
The final day included discussions on child protection and the work of SOMI.
The Assembly was widely appreciated as a time of prayerful reflection and collaborative discernment for strengthening parish life and mission.
