On March 25, 2025, the Claretian Missionaries of Africa gathered in spiritual communion to pray for peace across the continent, marking the Feast of the Annunciation. This initiative brought together Claretian delegations, missions, communities, formation houses, and educational institutions.
Amid ongoing conflicts and crises in Africa, the Claretians dedicated the occasion to invoking peace through Masses, Eucharistic adorations, and rosary recitations. Formation houses engaged young missionaries, while schools held awareness sessions on peace and dialogue.

Inspired by the Annunciation’s message of hope, the Claretians encouraged communities to take steps toward reconciliation and fraternity. The day also included social outreach, such as visits to displaced persons, support for violence victims, interreligious dialogue, and peace campaigns. In conflict-affected areas like Bamenda, Cameroon, Eucharistic celebrations reinforced their commitment to justice.
This initiative underscored the Claretians’ belief in prayer and action as vital forces for Africa’s future, reaffirming their mission for reconciliation and peace.
