Vic, Spain. The formation course for formators began on the 1st of May 2024 at the School of the Heart of Mary, an initiative of the General Prefecture of Formation of the General Government. The event, which is being hosted by the Claret Spirituality House in Vic, has brought together thirteen participants from nine Major Organisms.
This year’s participants include formators from Brazil, Central America, Colombia-Venezuela, Fatima, Mae Da Africa, Padre Xifre, Peru-Bolivia, St Charles Lwanga and San José del Sur. The programme is divided into three phases which will take place in Vic, Barbastro and Madrid and will last until June.
Joseph Mbungu, CMF, the General Prefect for Formation, presided at the opening of the course with a Eucharist followed by an introductory presentation. The course began with a retreat and continued with topics such as the history of the Congregation and the processes of interculturality. These discussions will be enriched by practical exercises and visits to important Claretian places.
