On May 31, 2023, on the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Claretian Major Organisms in India celebrated the gift of vocation through the religious profession of new and old pre-novitiate missionaries in formation.The celebrations began with the entrance to the Novitiate of 25 Postulants from different Major Organisms of India the day before, May 30, 2023, at Claret Bhavan, Carmelaram, taking a step further in their vocational journey. The festivities continued on May 31, 2023, as the Claretian community witnessed the significant milestones of professions and renewals across the Claretian Provinces.
Province of Chennai
In the Province of Chennai, Novice Visuvasa Leo, CMF, made his First Profession, while Sch. Daniel Daniel Anthony Samy, CMF, made his Perpetual Profession at Claret Bhavan in Karumathur. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. S. Jesu Doss, CMF, the Provincial Superior.
Province of St. Thomas
The Province of St. Thomas celebrated the occasion with four novices making their First Profession and four students making their Final Professions. Novices Sharun Marappillil, Jestin Vadakkel, Milan Njalipparambil, and Jayanth Mundackal, CMFF, took their first professions. At the same time, students Abin Thayyil, Aswin Myladumparayil, Joel Thuruthippallil, and Bony Mattathil, CMFF, made their final professions. Additionally, 21 students renewed their vows, further dedicating themselves to their vocation. The celebration was presided over by Fr. Siby Njavallikunnel, CMF, Provincial Superior.
Province of Bangalore
The Province of Bangalore celebrated the day with one novice pronouncing his First Profession, three students making their Perpetual Profession, and eleven students renewing their vows. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. Sabu Koottarappallil, CMF, Provincial Superior.
Northeast Independent Delegation
Northeast India Independent Delegation witnessed the First Profession of novices Eskarius Malngiang and Fuljence Lakra, CMFF, and the Perpetual Profession of students Francis Thomas, Iohteibok Nongkhlaw, and Ricky Dkhar, CMFF, in the hands of Rev. Fr. Pius Thuruthiyil, CMF, their Major Superior, at Claret Villa, Shillong.
Kolkata Independent Delegation
From Kolkata Independent Delegation, students Jackrias Ekka, Judeson Abinesh A, and Sahaya Rajan M, CMFF, made their Perpetual Profession in the hands of Fr. Antony Bhyju CMF, their Major Superior.
The events in the respective places were graced by the presence of Claretian confreres, priests, parents, relatives, friends, and benefactors, which encouraged the commitment and dedication of individuals to their faith and service.
